Andover, MA As Bench Scientist, you will:

JobDescription:

Provide support for the development and implementationof state-of-the-art mass spectrometry and proteomics technologiesto improve understanding of mechanism of action of drug candidates,safety profiles of novel therapeutics, or identification andquantitation of biomarkers. Combine protein biochemistry andbioanalytical workflows to support complex sample preparationmethodologies that will be integrated with the entire suite ofprotein mass spectrometry-based detection systems. Independentlyfollowing protocols and executing experiments with an analyticalmindset to deliver high-quality data across multiple portfolioprojects. Partnering with senior scientist and key stakeholders todesign key experiments and assist data analysis and interpretation.

Position Responsibilities:

Contribute to the design of experimentsand independently perform sample preparation using variousextraction, protein digestion and purification techniques for massspectrometry analysis. Develop “fit-for-purpose” assays andbioanalytical workflows, balancing rigor against study goals toensure timely delivery of high-quality data. Work with differenttypes of samples (biological fluids, tissues) from pre-clinicalspecies. Assist in data analysis and interpretation, communicateresults to team members. Contribute to the setup, troubleshooting,and maintenance of liquid chromatography and mass spectrometryinstrumentation and/or other laboratory equipment. Maintainscientific and ethical standards, including appropriaterecord-keeping and compliance.

Education and Experience:

B.S./M.S.in biological sciences, biochemistry, or related fields. Recentgraduate with 1 to 3 years of experience. Demonstrated ability toperform complex sample preparation workflows (preferably forbiological mass spectrometry) with minimal supervision. Experienceworking in a laboratory environment. PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS

PayRange•: $38.00-$42.00 per hour. •Pay range offered to a successfulcandidate will be based on several factors, including thecandidate’s education, work experience, work location, specific jobduties, certifications, etc.
