Department of Biochemistry at Wake Forest University School of Medicine, Winston Salem, North Carolina is seeking a qualified individual for an R01 supported post-doctoral fellow position to conduct research. The position is available immediately. The applicant should be highly motivated team worker. This position requires a Ph.D. degree or equivalent in cell biology, molecular biology or ophthalmology from a University and at least 2 years research experience in vision research field. This postdoctoral fellow will conduct independent research project studying molecular mechanism of subretinal fibrosis in age-related macular degeneration and its association with Wnt signaling. The person will fulfill required duties as a University employee. The employee is required to publish research papers and make presentations in scientific meetings. This person will also participate in mentoring new students in experimental skills.
