JOB SUMMARY
Work under the guidance of graduate students and PI to carry out experiments related to eukaryotic pathogenesis. Perform wet-lab experiments using pathogenic BL2 yeast to identify mechanisms that govern pathogenesis. Perform duties as assigned
JOB DUTIES

- Perform general lab techniques including but not limited to: cell culture, microbiological, microscopic, biochemical, and standard phenotypic assays. 30%

- Collect, process, measure, and analyze biological materials generated from standard lab techniques for genomic, transcriptomic, metabolic, and proteomic assays 20%

- Maintain a detailed lab notebook with information about all experiments and experimental results. Provide regular summaries and presentations to the lab and PI of all work performed 15%

- Assist with cleaning and organizational tasks in the lab as well as help maintain inventory of all lab supplies.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education
- High School diploma and work experience in a clinical or research laboratory setting, in a health care setting or in a general maintenance or machine shop environment.
A bachelors degree in a related scientific discipline may be substituted for the required work experience. Work Experience 0+ years

Anticipated Salary Range:
$15.00

00/hour Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson’s compensation guidelines.
ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL
Normal Operations Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected work on-site during emergency situations.
