Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay:
$20.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application). This temporary position will be assigned to the Department of Environmental Quality. This position is located at 512 N. Salisbury St., Raleigh, NC 27604. This position will assist with Aquatic Weed Control field work. Much of the work consists of applying herbicides from small boats. Travel, including overnight stays, will be required. Field work duties include operation/maintenance of equipment (power tools, gas-powered engines, high-pressure sprayers, electric sprayers, and brush cutters); operating vehicles, motorboats, including the towing of trailers; and assisting with aquatic vegetation surveys.
