out of 5 stars Birmingham, AL 35205 Description Position will serve as primary lab personnel in the Liu lab serving as lab manager and conducting research. Position will conduct research following guidelines and participate in lab meetings. Position will have the opportunity to write manuscripts. Duties & Responsibilities Test the effects of ProAgio on activated/reactive astrocytes and potential treatment for cancer brain metastasis. Responsible for analysis of clinical samples to understand the functions of ProAgio in patient tumors. Be involved in the research project of understanding the functional role(s) of extracellular PKM2 in tissues/organ damage protection and regeneration Responsible for equipment maintenance, arranging lab meetings and ordering lab supplies. Manuscript Writing Perform other duties as assigned

Annual Salary Range:

$63,125 – $103,700 Qualifications Doctor of Philosophy, D.V.M. or M.D. degree in Biology, Chemistry or a related field and two (2) years of related experience OR M.D. and Master’s degree. OR Master’s degree in Biology, Chemistry or a related field and four (4) years of related experience OR Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry or a related field and six (6) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
