Position Summary:

-We are seeking a qualified anddedicated Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) Physicianto conduct medical assessments for veterans. This role isexclusively focused on independent medical assessments and does notinvolve treatment. You will be responsible for reviewing medicalrecords, conducting in-depth evaluations, and completingVA-provided Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) through asecure online portal. These assessments will assist the VA inmaking accurate disability determinations.

Key Responsibilities:

Review and analyze veterans’ medical records through a secureweb portal. Conduct comprehensive, non-treating assessments of veterans todocument current health conditions. Complete and submit DBQs based on VA-specific templates tocapture all relevant medical findings. Ensure that all DBQs are thorough, accurate, and submittedwithin 24 hours of the assessment. Assess up to four veterans daily.

Schedule:

-Part time, one dayper week. Floating between Pensacola, FL and Mobile, AL. Additionaltelehealth available as needed.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Motivated to perform independent medical assessments in anon-treating, investigative role. Proficient in analyzing and synthesizing data fromcomprehensive medical records and physical assessments. Skilled in managing time effectively, completing tasks withindeadlines, and maintaining a focus on quality. Comfortable and efficient in digital documentation and recordreview. Dedicated to serving veterans and making a positive impact intheir lives. Requirements Active MD or DO license with a specialization in PhysicalMedicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R). Board certification in Neurological Surgery, PM&R, orPsychiatry and Neurology is preferred; candidates with a completedtwo-year residency in a relevant specialty will also beconsidered. Strong typing skills and attention to detail are essential.
