Contract Overview Leading pharmaceutical company looking for anexperienced Scientist. Ideal candidates should have a bachelorsdegree with 5 years of experience or preferably a masters degreewith 3 years of experience in human genetics, genomics, ormolecular biology. Responsibilities Support the isolation,quantification and analysis of nucleic acids from human biospecimensamples. Manage biofluid and tissue biospecimen registration,Inventory, and destruction. Demonstrate good documentationpractices and attention to detail related to the above Demonstrategood oral and interpersonal communication with cross-functionalpartners and laboratory colleagues. Follow established StandardOperating Procedures Work independently and in a team environmentin multiple settings including office and open space. RequirementsB.S. with 5 year’s experience or M.S. preferred with 3 year’sexperience in human genetics, genomics, or molecular biology.
Comprehensive understanding of the latest technologies pertainingto human genomic research in industry including genotyping, RNAexpression technologies (NGS), somatic alteration analysis,bioinformatics, and molecular biology techniques. Experiencehandling human biofluids and tissues Superior scientific andtechnical skills in the genomic sciences Self-motivated and abilityto work independently Strong organizational abilities; ability tosuccessfully work and get things done in teams Ability to engage,communicate and facilitate communication across groups Ability toidentify and implement new technologies Experience with utilizing alaboratory information management system (LIMS).
