As an REI/Fertility Specialist, you will play a crucial role inproviding comprehensive care and support to patients seekingfertility treatment. This is a permanent position that offers anexciting opportunity to work in a cutting-edge reproductiveendocrinology and infertility (REI) practice.
Responsibilities:
1.
Patient Care:
Provide compassionate and patient-centered care toindividuals and couples undergoing fertility treatment. Thisincludes conducting initial assessments, performing physicalexaminations, and developing personalized treatment plans. 2.
Fertility Treatment:
Collaborate with the REI team to coordinateand administer fertility treatments, including ovulation induction,intrauterine insemination (IUI), in vitro fertilization (IVF), andembryo transfers. Monitor patients throughout their treatmentcycle, adjusting medications and protocols as necessary. 3.
Reproductive Procedures:
Assist physicians during reproductiveprocedures, such as oocyte retrievals, embryo transfers, andultrasound-guided procedures. Ensure proper documentation andadherence to sterile techniques. 4.
Patient Education:
Educatepatients on fertility treatment options, procedures, andmedications. Provide emotional support and counseling throughoutthe fertility journey, addressing any concerns or questions thatarise. 5.
Diagnostic Testing:
Perform and interpret diagnostictests, such as hormone level assessments, ultrasound scans, andgenetic screenings. Communicate test results to patients andcollaborate with physicians to determine the most appropriatecourse of action. 6.
Documentation and Record-Keeping:
Maintainaccurate and detailed patient records, documenting allinteractions, treatments, and outcomes. Ensure compliance withlegal and ethical standards, as well as clinic policies andprocedures. 7.
Research and Quality Improvement:
Stay updated onthe latest advancements in fertility treatments and participate inongoing professional development activities. Contribute to researchprojects and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patientcare and outcomes.
Qualifications:
1. MD from Accredited MedicalSchool Residency Trained in Obstetrics & Gynecology, Maternal FetalMedicine, Internal Medicine Endocrinology Fellow, or similar.
Active CT License or willing to obtain. 2.
Fertility Expertise:
Demonstrate a strong background in fertility and reproductivehealth. Previous experience in a reproductive endocrinology andinfertility practice is highly preferred. 3.
REI Knowledge:
Familiarity with reproductive endocrinology and infertilitytreatments, including ovulation induction, IUI, IVF, and embryotransfers. Proficiency in interpreting diagnostic tests andunderstanding reproductive procedures is essential. 4.
ClinicalSkills:
Exhibit excellent clinical skills, including performingphysical examinations, administering medications, and conductingpatient assessments. Ability to handle reproductive procedures withprecision and attention to detail. 5.
Communication and Empathy:
Possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills toestablish rapport with patients and provide emotional supportthroughout their fertility journey. Ability to explain complexmedical information in a clear and compassionate manner. 6.
Organization and Documentation:
Strong organizational skills tomanage multiple patients and treatment cycles simultaneously.
Attention to detail in documenting patient interactions,treatments, and outcomes. 7.
Team Player:
Collaborative mindsetwith the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinaryteam. Willingness to contribute to research projects and qualityimprovement initiatives.
