Bachelor’s degree in biology or a closely related life science field.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Perform laboratory techniques including: cell culture, flow cytometry, molecular biology (PCR, nucleic acid extractions specifically RNA), microscopy. Includes recording research methods and results, as well as analyzing and reporting data. May assist PI in providing technical supervision and assistance to students and volunteers.
Conduct preclinical experiments in animal models of brain tumors, including: monitoring and care, surgical support (intracranial and subcutaneous tumor transplantation), post-surgical monitoring and care, health evaluation and surveillance, giving injections (intravenous, subcutaneous, intraperitoneal, etc.), removing sutures, maintaining procedures and protocols, collecting biological samples (blood, tissues, etc.), and maintaining laboratory records.
Participates in laboratory management, including maintaining lab safety, routine equipment maintenance, purchasing lab and office supplies, keep laboratory records, prepare laboratory reagents, maintain clean work areas, and managing chemical and biological waste.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in biology or a closely related life science field.
PREFERRED
Experience with mammalian cell culture, especially of T cells.
Experience with ELISA, flow cytometry, fluorescent imaging, and animal procedures, including injections and surgeries.
At Least one year of lab experience is preferred.
