  • Statesboro, GA Department Information Anatomy & Physiology Job Summary The Student Assistant will support the Anatomy & Physiology Faculty as a Laboratory Assistant on the Statesboro Campus beginning Summer 2025.

The student hired for this position will assist the Anatomy Laboratory Coordinator with summer projects and administrative work. Student employees cannot work more than 1300 hours in a 12-consecutive month period. Responsibilities
Assist with inventory, surplus and organization of Anatomy & Physiology Laboratory equipment & space
Maintain laboratory organization
Update laboratory images and resources
Attend sessions of lab during the semester as needed
Help students troubleshoot equipment and/or software issues
Answer questions related to models & resources during the semester
Provides technical support to students and assists faculty for one or more of the following Anatomy & Physiology Laboratory courses, as needed:

  • BIOL 2251L
  • BIOL 2252L Perform other duties as assigned Shift Specifics Up to 25 hours per week
    Flexible with schedule of availability
    Shifts available Monday
  • Friday, 8 AM
  • 5 PM
    Required Qualifications Educational Requirements Must be enrolled in six or more undergraduate credit hours or three or more graduate credit hours at Georgia Southern University.

Preferred Qualifications Preferred Education Completion of one or more BIOL course; Completion of Bachelor’s Degree; enrollment in graduate program Preferred Experience Willing to commit 10+ hours per week for summer terms
Willingness to learn new skills
Be able to flexibly work up to 25 hours per week
Possess good organizational and time management skills
One (1) or more years experience with Teaching Anatomy & Physiology Laboratory
Proposed Salary $20.00 per hour This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis. Required Documents to Attach
