$90000.00 – $250000.00 LSU Health New Orleans is actively recruiting a Director of GeneticMedicine to become part of an emerging NCI-Designated Cancer Centerfor the state of Louisiana, which has some of the highestincidence, mortality, disparities, and social vulnerabilities inthe country. The

Health Cancer Center, which has beenidentified as the top priority of the President of LSU, is based inNew Orleans, Louisiana and capitalizes on the vast resources ofLSU, community engagement across the state, partnerships with LCMCHealth hospitals, and LCRC research institutions. Primary duties for the Director of Genetic Medicine will includeproviding high-throughput screening, playing a pivotal role indeveloping new tests, assessing and improving disease and genepanels, and utilizing your creativity to make new advancements inthe field. Top candidates are deadline-driven, detail-oriented, andhave outstanding organizational skills. The Director will beactively involved in teaching, research, and evaluating and caringfor patients with underlying genetic conditions. The Director willalso serve across the organization in several specialty clinics,including a general genetics clinic, metabolic clinic, bone marrowtransplant clinic, cystic fibrosis clinic, hearing loss clinic,maternal-fetal medicine, neurofibromatosis clinic, disorders ofsexual development clinic, and more. Candidates must have a?medicaldegree, an American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ABMGG)certification, and a valid Louisiana state license or the abilityto obtain one. Three or more years of related experience in generalor pediatric genetics in an accredited healthcare facility ispreferred, including proficient knowledge of next-generationsequencing technologies. A molecular geneticist is a plus.
