$81.75/HR Summary The Precision Genetics group within the Data and Genome Sciences department is seeking a highly skilled Computational Biologist to join our Computational Precision Immunology team. This role requires deep expertise in multi-modal and multi-scale data analysis, especially in transcriptomics, spatial biology, and proteomics, to support cutting-edge immunological research.
Key Responsibilities Data Acquisition :
Query and collect multi-omics datasets from public repositories (e.g., PubMed, GEO, ArrayExpress, gnomAD, GTEx, Ensembl).
RNA-Seq Analysis :
Conduct QC and analysis of bulk and single-cell RNA-Seq data using tools such as FastQC, STAR, DESeq2, Limma, Seurat, scanpy, clusterProfiler, and LeafCutter.
Multi-Omics Analysis :
Analyze spatial transcriptomics data (e.g., Slide-seq, MERFISH, squidpy) and proteomics data (e.g., OLINK, mass spectrometry).
Data Integration :
Combine multiple molecular data types including gene/protein expression, splicing, spatial transcriptomics, and genotypes to generate biologically meaningful insights.
Documentation :
Maintain clear and detailed documentation of workflows, methods, and results to ensure reproducibility and transparency. Required Qualifications Ph.D. in Computational Biology or a related field. Minimum 2-4years of relevant experience post-Ph.D. (strongly preferred). Demonstrated expertise (3+ years) in multi-omics data analysis and integration, including bulk and single-cell RNA-Seq. Solid understanding of statistical methods and computational biology principles. Proficiency in R, Python, and Bash , with a strong emphasis on reproducible research practices. Experience working with high-performance computing (HPC) systems and AWS Cloud Computing (e.g., IAM, S3). Strong written and verbal communication skills. Self-motivated, collaborative, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with real-world datasets . Familiarity with spatial transcriptomics and associated computational tools. Background in statistical and population genetics is a plus.
