Competitive retirement package to secureyour future. Responsibilities A Research Fellow opportunity isavailable under the mentorship of Dr. Arjun Athreya in theDepartment of Molecular Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics.
The successful candidate will work in bioinformatics research in amulti-omic integration program. Applicants who apply should have astrong background in bioinformatics skills, as well as excellentverbal and written skills. A Research Fellow inBioinformatics/Biostatistics (BST) will have a primary focus indeveloping software and research techniques and/or tools to analyzeand then aid in understanding biological data. Responsibilities andskills required involve computer programming, calculatingstatistics related to biological information, and mathematics. AResearch Fellow at Mayo Clinic is a temporary position intended toprovide training and education in research. Individuals will trainin the research program of a Mayo Clinic principal investigator.
Qualified individuals will demonstrate the potential for researchas evidenced by their training and peer-reviewed publications andshould become competitive for national research grants. Proof ofEnglish proficiency is required for J-1 Short-Term Scholars,Research Scholars, Professors, Specialists, and Student Internssponsored by Mayo Clinic. Qualifications Must have a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent doctoraldegree in a field deemed relevant by the program. Research Fellowis appropriate for individuals who have completed no more than oneprior postdoctoral fellowship, at Mayo Clinic or elsewhere.
Compensation Detail $68,564 – $80,210 / year; Education, experienceand tenure may be considered along with internal equity when joboffers are extended.
