Job Summary:

We areseeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Scientist to leadand advance the suspension cell culture operations within our USProtein Department. This role involves overseeing complex cell linecultivation processes, optimizing production workflows, andmentoring junior scientists to ensure the delivery of high-qualitybiologics. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise incell biology or biotechnology, demonstrated leadership abilities,and a strong track record in a laboratory or biomanufacturingenvironment.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage suspension cellculture operations, ensuring adherence to protocols while drivingimprovements in process efficiency, yield, and quality.

Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges in cellculture processes, working cross-functionally to minimizeproduction disruptions. Design, execute, and analyze experiments tooptimize cell line performance and bioprocess parameters. Maintaincomprehensive documentation, including experimental data, batchrecords, and technical reports, ensuring compliance with regulatoryand quality standards. Provide mentorship, training, and guidanceto associate scientists and technical staff, fostering professionaldevelopment and technical excellence. Collaborate withcross-functional teams to review and update SOPs, protocols, andproduction records, promoting continuous improvement and dataintegrity. Lead special projects and initiatives as assigned bydepartment leadership, contributing to strategic planning andinnovation.

Qualifications:

Master’s degree or Ph.D. in cellbiology, biotechnology, or a related scientific discipline. Minimumof 5 years of relevant experience in suspension cell culture orbioprocess development, preferably within a CRO, CDMO, orbiopharmaceutical environment. Proven leadership and projectmanagement skills with the ability to mentor and develop juniorstaff. Strong problem-solving abilities with a hands-on approach totroubleshooting and optimizing cell culture processes. Excellentverbal and written communication skills, capable of collaboratingacross teams and presenting complex data effectively. Demonstratedknowledge of laboratory data documentation systems, qualitystandards, and regulatory compliance. Highly organized, proactive,and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-pacedenvironment.
