Sanofi – Contingent Workforce Program via FLEXT Direct Job Description Sanofi’s contingent workforce program, FLEXT Direct , is seeking a Scientist I to join their team on a contract basis. The successful candidate will be part of a collaborative team supporting vaccine and biologics development using insect cell expression systems. Key Responsibilities Generate recombinant baculovirus (WVB) Express proteins using baculovirus insect cell systems in shake flasks Maintain cells, perform transfections and infections, and harvest viral stocks Sample culture flasks and prepare samples for analytical testing Conduct molecular biology tasks: DNA purification

PCR SDS-PAGE

Western blot Perform aseptic techniques and general lab maintenance Wash glassware and clean upstream processing (USP) equipment Design and analyze experiments; maintain detailed lab notebooks and electronic records Present findings in team and departmental meetings Support lab organization, reagent inventory, and ordering Ensure compliance with SOPs, safety guidelines, and protocols Coordinate data capture and documentation Write and review protocols and reports Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemical/Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field 0-2 years of relevant academic or industry experience (with a BS degree) Experience with baculovirus protein expression systems and insect cell culture highly desirable Proficiency in molecular biology techniques and DNA sequence analysis tools (e.g., SnapGene ) is a plus Strong ability to design experiments and analyze results independently Excellent teamwork, organizational, and communication skills Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple priorities Able to work with minimal supervision Experience with cell culture and aseptic techniques required Flexible with working hours and scheduling as needed Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Fluent in written and spoken English Nice to Have Western blotting (immunoblotting) experience Experience running DNA gels and protein gels Local candidates to Swiftwater, PA are strongly preferred.
