Full Job Description Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Chemistry Laboratory Technician to support laboratory operations by performing routine tests, preparing chemical solutions, maintaining equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in chemistry, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to laboratory safety and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare chemical solutions, reagents, and media according to standard formulas or procedural manuals. Conduct routine chemical and physical tests following established protocols and record results accurately. Calibrate, operate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment, such as: Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) Gas Chromatography (GC-FID-HS) Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS) Analysis for Total Organic Carbon (TOC) Label, store, and dispose of chemical waste in accordance with safety regulations. Maintain inventory of laboratory supplies and ensure timely reordering. Clean and sterilize glassware and other laboratory tools. Assist in data collection, entry, and basic analysis for research or quality control reports. Follow all laboratory safety protocols, including the use of PPE and chemical hygiene practices. Support senior chemists and lab supervisors in experiments and special projects. Document procedures and test results clearly and consistently in lab notebooks or digital systems.

Requirements:

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Technology, or a related field. Proven experience working in a laboratory environment is preferred. Strong understanding of chemical handling, safety procedures, and lab best practices. Familiarity with laboratory equipment such as spectrophotometers, pH meters, and balances. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely. Proficiency with Microsoft Office or laboratory data software is a plus.

Working Conditions:

Work is performed in a laboratory environment with exposure to chemicals and lab equipment. May require standing for long periods and occasional lifting of supplies or equipment (up to 25 lbs). Must adhere to strict safety protocols at all times.
