Job Summary:

C2O Americas (Omega Technical) is seeking a Analyzer Technician for the Plaquemines LNG Export Project in Port Sulphur, LA. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in maintaining, calibrating, and troubleshooting process and emissions analyzers critical to LNG plant operations. This role is vital for ensuring accurate measurement of gas composition, emissions compliance, and the reliable performance of process analyzers in a high-stakes operational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance and calibration of CEMS analyzers to ensure environmental compliance with LNG emissions regulations. Troubleshoot and repair various gas detectors (LEL/O₂/CO/CO₂) and malfunctioning devices critical to plant safety and process control. Conduct quarterly Calibration Gas Audits , ensuring analyzers meet stringent performance and accuracy standards. Install, commission, and validate Emerson 1500XA Series GC Analyzers used in gas composition and quality measurement. Manage the replacement and inventory of calibration gas bottles in accordance with LNG plant protocols and safety practices. Maintain and calibrate AMI , Spectra , and LEL analyzers used in pipeline gas quality and process safety monitoring. Calibrate analog output, troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild AMI analyzers used in O₂ and H₂S detection. Rebuild and replace liquid pressure regulators in sample conditioning systems to maintain consistent flow and analyzer accuracy. Troubleshoot, repair, and validate Spectra analyzers commonly used for LNG process streams and flare monitoring. Provide first-line troubleshooting for ABB 800xA DCS to ensure reliable communication and control between analyzers and plant systems. Consult with OEMs and analyzer manufacturers for support in repairs, upgrades, and technical problem-solving. Interpret and work from P&IDs, loop drawings, and technical manuals to perform installations, modifications, and repairs. Maintain detailed records of analyzer maintenance, calibrations, and performance checks in compliance with LNG plant procedures and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or technical certification in Instrumentation, Electronics, or Industrial Technology preferred. 5+ years of experience in analyzer maintenance and troubleshooting in an LNG, petrochemical, or oil & gas environment. Proven experience with CEMS , Emerson 1500XA

GC , AMI

, Spectra , LEL analyzers , and ABB 800xA DCS systems. Strong understanding of LNG plant operations, process safety, and gas measurement principles. Proficient in performing calibrations, audits, and repairs with a strong emphasis on regulatory compliance and safety. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a high-pressure, process-critical environment. Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with Operations, Instrumentation, and Environmental teams. Strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols in all aspects of work.

$55.00 – $58.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 60 per week
