Chemical Lab Technician Abacus Service Corporation 26 Davis Drive, Research Triangle Park, NC 27703 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Chemical Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the production and quality assurance of chemical products. This position involves working in a laboratory setting, where you will be responsible for conducting experiments, analyzing materials, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. A strong understanding of chemical processes and safety protocols is essential. Duties Conduct experiments and tests to analyze chemical properties and reactions. Prepare and handle chemical samples in accordance with safety guidelines. Operate laboratory equipment and machinery, ensuring proper maintenance and calibration. Assist in the development of new products by fabricating and packaging chemical solutions. Collaborate with team members to implement lean manufacturing practices to improve efficiency. Maintain accurate records of experiments, results, and materials used. Ensure compliance with CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) during all processes. Participate in materials handling within the warehouse environment as needed. Experience Candidates should possess experience or familiarity with the following skills: Lean manufacturing principles to enhance operational efficiency. Warehouse operations, including inventory management and materials handling. Forklift operation for safe transportation of materials within the facility. Laboratory techniques relevant to chemical analysis and product development. Machining skills for equipment setup and maintenance. Fabrication processes related to chemical product assembly. Knowledge of CGMP regulations to ensure product quality and safety. Experience in packaging chemicals for distribution while adhering to safety standards.
