The Role:

Gas Service Technician As a Gas Service Technician, you are the backbone of our promise. You will install, service, and diagnose gas fireplace appliances for our valued customers. This role directly contributes to our mission by ensuring every customer experiences comfort and peace of mind. We’re expanding our team in the Triad and seeking a skilled and licensed Gas Service Technician to join us! As a Gas Service Technician, you will be responsible for installing, servicing, and diagnosing gas fireplace appliances for our valued customers. This role requires an understanding of gas fireplace appliances and relevant regulations, ensuring all installations and repairs adhere to local and state safety standards.

Responsibilities:

Install, service, and diagnose gas fireplace appliances, including gas logs, inserts, and related components. Troubleshoot and repair technical issues with gas appliances accurately, aiming for first-visit resolution. Ensure all fireplace installations and repairs comply with local and state safety regulations and standards. Maintain detailed documentation, including photographs and checklists, for all services and installations. Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive and reassuring experience for clients in their homes. Stay current on new products and attend regular training seminars with distributors and manufacturers. Diagnose and repair technical issues with gas grills for brands we service. Accurately measure fireplaces to determine appropriate fireplace glass doors for installation. Prepare estimates for new gas appliance installations, including measuring fireplaces, determining appliance compatibility, and planning gas line routing and length.

Qualifications:

Proven experience working with gas appliances and grills (preferred). Completion of vocational training or an apprenticeship to be a licensed gas technician. (Exceptional candidates who meet other requirements may be considered for an apprenticeship with our senior gas service technician). Excellent problem-solving skills and strong technical aptitude. In-depth understanding of local and state safety regulations and industry standards for gas appliances. Strong customer service skills with a focus on client satisfaction. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds without assistance. Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl to access spaces and work at floor level.
