Job Description:
Station Compressor Technician Job description: Responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of various types of compressors including high-pressure gas transport trailers. Repair and maintain station gas compressors and engines. Additional duties include daily readings, record keeping, parts inventory, housekeeping, repair and maintenance of CNG Fueling Stations.
Responsibilities:
Install and set up compressors according to the organizations standards, and safety guidelines Regularly inspect and perform preventative maintenance on compressors to ensure optimal performance Diagnose and identify issues with compressors and related systems using technical knowledge, diagnostic tools, and problem-solving skills Perform repairs on compressors and associated components, such as motors, valves, gauges, and sensors Conduct performance tests on compressors to verify their efficiency, pressure levels, temperature control, and overall functionality Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines and associated equipment to maintain a safe working environment for oneself and others Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, replacements, and any modifications made to equipment Respond to emergency service calls to address sudden breakdowns or malfunctions of compressor systems and work efficiently to minimize downtime and disruptions
Requirements:
3+ years gas compression or gas processing experience Working knowledge of LOTO Strong mechanical aptitude Working knowledge of gas regulators and related valving/ piping Familiar with pressurized gas systems
Preferences:
Strong Computer Skills 24-volt DC and 120/240-volt AC electrical experience Experience with Waukesha, caterpillar and superior compressors Waukesha GET Cat gas engine 1 or above
