Job Summary/Basic Function:

Wright State University invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor in Physical Chemistry. The successful candidate will support the BS and MS programs in chemistry, teaching thermodynamics, quantum chemistry, and spectroscopy. They will also support service teaching in general education chemistry classes. Opportunities to mentor students by establishing independent research is also possible. Minimum Qualifications PhD at the start of appointment in physical chemistry or related field. Preferred Qualifications At least one-year experience teaching chemistry or related field at the university level. Documented experience or interest in using evidence based practices in teaching. Essential Functions and percent of time: Teach up to 12 credit hours per semester of BS and MS courses in thermodynamics, quantum chemistry, and spectroscopy or service teaching in general education chemistry courses. (75%)
Conduct service in collaboration with the department and the college, supporting the BS and MS programs in physical chemistry.
