Job Description
Position Objective:
The Senior Development Scientist will contribute to the Flow Cytometry Development team by evaluating and implementing innovative technologies in assay and instrument development. This role requires cross-functional collaboration, scientific rigor, and a hands-on approach to driving development efforts within defined timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, execute, and optimize flow cytometry assay development studies involving hardware, software, and reagents. Analyze and summarize experimental data, present results for team review and decision-making. Draft, review, and ensure compliance of study protocols, procedures, and reports with internal standards and industry regulations. Apply scientific judgment to troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges during product development. Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to meet project milestones and business objectives. Support project management by aligning daily execution with overall timelines and priorities.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education:
PhD in Biological Sciences, Immunology, or Biomedical Engineering + 2 years’ experience
OR MS + 3
years’ experience OR Bachelor’s + 5 years’ experience
Technical Expertise:
Deep knowledge of high-complexity, multi-color flow cytometry Experience in assay development documentation and statistical data analysis Skilled in tools such as JMP, Minitab, or equivalent
Product Development Knowledge:
Familiar with design control processes: feasibility, characterization, verification, validation, and design transfer Experience with IVD product development is a strong plus
