Primary Function:

Responsible for the execution of formulation improvements, investigations, and development of liquid veterinary products through laboratory development and analysis. Accountable for supporting existing liquid product production and bringing new products to the market through lab trials, research, and validation. Ability to navigate across various departments to develop and execute all required documentation related to existing and new product development and manufacture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Committed to working in a laboratory environment with the ability to execute existing and new product testing against established processes and standards, both internal and external.
• Work collaboratively with internal resources to make improvements related to existing products and develop new products through analyzing, improving, and developing formulations and processes.
• Support existing product manufacture through laboratory analysis, investigation, and troubleshooting.
• Manage, operate, and understand requirements for laboratory equipment and testing.
• Document all analysis and testing completed for R D and New Product Development projects.
• Organize resources to ensure customer needs are met related to product quality, on time delivery, prompt response to requests, etc.
• Prioritize project activities and technical support needed to ensure consistency with customer needs, business strategy, and commercial pipeline.
• Author master batch records, SDS, ingredient lists, process validation protocols and reports.
• Lead role in process validation initiatives as needed.

Skills & Knowledge Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree (preferred), in science or related field, or a minimum of 5 years of applicable work experience
• Knowledge in R D formulation
• Strong knowledge of common pharmaceutical raw materials, their applications, and the principles of formulation development Ability to manage multiple priorities, and proactively communicate status while working to accomplish assigned tasks Proactive and independent worker Familiarity with regulatory standards including GMP.

Problem solver with the ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems

• Computer skills in MS Office, JMP or equivalent
