Job Description

Analytical Chemist Amaratek 150 Douglas Avenue, Dunedin, FL 34698 Amaratek fills the niche as contract inventor and innovator across a broad spectrum of industries and applications by applying cross-disciplinary expertise in chemistry, life sciences, and engineering. Amaratek invents real-world solutions to the largest defense, health, and development problems. Recognizing that many of the skills and insights honed for military applications can also be applied to civil government projects where needs for reliable health systems, water, energy, and transportation mirror defense needs, Amaratek has provided technical services to foreign governments, NGOs, and social entrepreneurs. We remain focused on Defense and Homeland Security technologies and their extended applications in the commercial and other markets. Amaratek is seeking multiple Ph.D. chemists with expertise in analytical , environmental , or materials chemistry . The candidate should have experience with instruments such as GC, GC-MS, ICP-MS, LC-MS, HPLC, SEM, etc. The ability to work both independently and cooperatively is a must. Candidates will conduct research in the development of capabilities for analytical detection of various agents and compounds of interest. Applicant must be a US citizen.

Responsibilities include:

Conduct qualitative and quantitative analyses using techniques such as gas chromatography, spectroscopy, high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), and microscopy. Perform wet chemistry techniques to prepare samples for analysis. Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment, including spectrophotometers and other analytical instruments. Implement quality control measures to ensure the reliability of test results. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support research and development initiatives. Prepare detailed reports summarizing findings and present results to stakeholders. Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment in accordance with safety regulations. Work independently and collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary and cross functional team Conduct field tests and evaluations at both domestic and international locations Candidates must be able to travel without restrictions Willing to undergo back ground checks and drug tests At Amaratek, we understand the importance of a balanced work-life schedule, but at times travel to domestic and foreign locations for field testing, demonstrations, and training purposes are necessary. Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Analytical Chemist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in analytical techniques and laboratory practices, with a focus on quality control and compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP). This role involves conducting experiments, analyzing data, and ensuring the accuracy of results to support various scientific projects. Qualifications Ph.D. in Chemistry Proficiency in analytical techniques such as spectroscopy, HPLC, microscopy, and wet chemistry. Experience with GC highly desirable. Strong understanding of quality control processes and GLP standards. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
