Chemical Products Manufacturing Lead Location:

Sarasota, Florida (On-Site) Have you worked with epoxies, adhesives or polymers? Do you have experience in a manufacturing facility making chemical compounds?

Position Summary:

The Epoxy Production Lead will manage a chemical production team, ensuring efficient daily operations and maintaining close collaboration with department heads and team members to foster a highly interactive and productive work environment. This role involves participating in laboratory experiments and ensuring compliance with quality standards to support and enhance the Teakdecking Systems (TDS) product line. Responsibilities include managing company documents, data, system formulas, and regulatory compliance while overseeing the internal production of proprietary chemical compounds.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Manage TDS chemical compound production of epoxies. Supervise the production and packaging of chemical products. Ensure proper labeling of product bottles, tubs, and packaging. Monitor raw materials and finished goods quality to ensure compliance with company standards and specifications. Oversee inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting of manufacturing and testing equipment. Implement procedures for chemical storage and handling. Maintain accurate inventory levels in collaboration with Production and Purchasing teams. Identify and address equipment irregularities, coordinating with the maintenance team for corrective actions. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production and quality control processes. Maintain a safe and clean work environment, including staging, organizing, and cleaning of manufacturing equipment and production areas. Authorized to halt processing or delivery of a product when a non-conformance or potential issue is identified until resolved.

Lead Responsibilities:

Uphold Teakdecking Systems’ values and standards, setting an example with your co-workers. Provide training and coaching to employees on job performance, company policies, and professional development. Recognize and praise employee achievements to encourage superior performance. Ensure the availability of necessary supplies and tools for efficient production. Enforce safety protocols to maintain a secure workplace. Responsible for budget hours attainment and controlling GAP time.

Required Education, Experience & Skills:

Experience in chemical production and manufacturing. Proficiency with manufacturing equipment and tools. Strong computer skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with ERP systems a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to troubleshoot experimental challenges. Highly organized with the ability to multi-task while maintaining accuracy. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. Knowledge of and commitment to OSHA safety standards.
