Responsibilities Stay aware of and committed to safe handling and use of chemicals associated with the lab. Test, approve, and release batches for production by performing High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) analyses. Conduct a variety of wet chemistry analyses, including pH and viscosity measurements. Actively learn and follow all analytical testing procedures and customer methods. Troubleshoot and maintain laboratory equipment, working with the manufacturer to ensure timely operational status. Observe good safety and housekeeping practices as well as Good Laboratory Practice. Collaborate effectively with Quality Control and other personnel. Verify batch sheets for compliance. Perform batch adjustments and mass balance calculations. Execute Out-of-Specification (OOS) procedures, including communication with the customer. Enter analytical results into the database, review data entry, and submit findings to the customer. Essential Skills Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related science field. Knowledge of High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC). Experience with wet chemistry, including pH and viscosity analysis. Positive attitude and eagerness to learn. Additional Skills & Qualifications 1 year of experience in an analytical laboratory. Flexibility to work any shift during busy season and assist on production line during slow season. Experience in quality control. Familiarity with EPA – FIFRA and RICRA regulations. Proficiency in troubleshooting and maintaining lab equipment. Work Environment The work shift is from 4 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday. The work environment supports learning critical analysis and troubleshooting skills, providing a good entry-level opportunity into the analytical chemistry industry. You’ll be able to learn QC/QA processes and contribute to engineering faster, smarter, leaner supply chains. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $27.00 – $27.00/hr.
