Description:

A postdoctoral research scientist is sought for projects into small molecule activation in the McSkimming lab. A successful applicant will have outstanding skills in both synthetic organic and inorganic chemistry and the associated characterization techniques. Expertise in glovebox and Schlenk techniques is required. Experience in performing and interpreting ab initio quantum mechanical calculations is desirable. Proficiency in speaking and in listening comprehension of English is essential for consideration. The position will be met with compensation that is commensurate to experience. Health insurance benefits are included. The position is a one-year appointment that may be renewed subject to mutual agreement. The position is available immediately and will remain open until a suitable candidate is identified.

Qualifications:

PhD in Chemistry required. Expertise in glovebox and Schlenk techniques is required. Experience in performing and interpreting ab initio quantum mechanical calculations is desirable. Proficiency in speaking and in listening comprehension of English is essential for consideration.
