Overview:
The Biotherapeutics and Genetic Medicine Group is seeking a highly motivated scientist to help build and lead the lentiviral delivery platform within our newly established Genetic Medicine team. This individual will play a key role in advancing our lentiviral gene therapy pipeline through cross-functional collaboration, hands-on development, and external partnership management.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and therapeutic areas to develop and advance novel lentiviral vectors. Design and engineer lentiviral vectors; manage internal and CRO-based lentiviral production. Establish and validate analytical and cell-based screening assays (e.g., p24, VCN, SupT1 titration, ELISA, qPCR, ddPCR, WES, FACS, endotoxin assay). Maintain comprehensive electronic lab notebook documentation. Deliver high-quality experimental results with detailed daily records. Author technical protocols and reports. Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulatory policies in a BSL-2 environment. Support the team’s culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Contribute to additional responsibilities as needed, with a can-do attitude.
Required Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Biology or related field with 5+ years of experience in lentiviral gene therapy (postdoctoral experience included), or M.S. with 10+ years of relevant experience. Proven expertise in lentiviral vector design, engineering, and production. Experience managing CROs for lentiviral manufacturing. Proficient in analytical and screening techniques for vector characterization. Background in CAR-T cell therapy. Familiarity with in vivo lentiviral delivery is a plus. Strong organizational and collaborative skills in dynamic team settings. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality, reproducible results.
