Eli Lilly and Companyseeks a Biologist (R2-R4) to advance nucleic acid research projectsfor novel therapeutic modalities. Prepare in vitro evaluations ofnucleic acid formulations, including mammalian cell cultures,transfection, and cell assays. Drive molecular endpoint studies fornucleic acid formulations using techniques including real-timepolymerase chain reaction (qPCR), Western blot, and enzyme-linkedimmunosorbent assay (ELISA). Design, optimize, and executehigh-throughput in vitro screens for various formulations. Executeformulation and characterization of nucleic acids, utilizingtechniques including electrophoresis, dynamic light scattering(DLS), and high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). Optimizelaboratory procedures through data analysis and review. Presentscientific data in support of drug discovery projects. LI-DNIPosition requires a Master’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry,Bioengineering, Neuroscience, or a related field, and 2 years ofacademic or employment experience with conducting nucleic acidresearch for therapeutic discovery projects. Academic or employmentexperience must include a minimum of: 2 years of experience withconducting mammalian cell culture and cell-based assay in highthroughput manner; 2 years of experience with analyzing molecularendpoints; 2 years of experience with formulating ASO, siRNA, mRNA,and nanoparticle molecules; 2 years of experience with analyzingbinding interactions of biomolecules; and 2 years of experiencewith performing biochemical assays. Part-time telecommuting may bepermitted. Up to 5% domestic travel required.
