The Advanced Regenerative Manufacturing Institute (ARMI) is a memberbased, nonprofit organization whose mission is to advance the bioeconomy of the United States. As part of its technical efforts, ARMI is applying advanced automation and analytical techniques to develop scalable, consistent, and costeffective manufacturing processes for cells, tissues, and organs.
The Impact That You Will Make
ARMI is seeking an Associate Scientist to assist in the manufacturing of cellbased products. This is an onsite role that will spend most of the workday in the lab. To be successful in this role, candidates need previous experience with bioreactors, automated manufacturing systems, and/or iPSC differentiation protocols. The position requires excellent communication skills, creative troubleshooting, and a drive to learn.
Your Role
Handson participation in automated cellbased product manufacturing
Participate in troubleshooting and transfer of processes from R D
Function within a highpaced environment with a focus on teamwork and flexibility
Maintenance of ARMI’s documentation standards through proper record keeping
Wear proper PPE and observe all safety/environmental and ARMI guidelines to ensure that a safe and professional work environment is maintained
Your Skills and Experiences
B.S with 2+ years of experience in cellbased product manufacturing
Experience with closed, scalable manufacturing systems
Experience with aseptic technique and cleanroom gowning
Experience with processes involving a variety of cell types, including Pluripotent Stem Cell expansion and differentiation Pancreatic islet differentiation experience preferred
Experience with technical SOPs and master batch records
Experience with GMP and/or GLP
Preferred knowledge of one or more of a variety of untargeted and targeted characterization methods, including analytical assays such as realtime PCR, ELISA, or flow cytometry
