Diamond Chemical Co., Inc. East Rutherford, NJ 07073 Diamond Chemical Company is a national manufacturer of cleaning products, disinfectants, soaps and detergents, located in Northern NJ. The company is seeking a . Candidate must be a proactive, hands-on, team player. The objective of the candidate is to help prepare new formulations, perform analytical testing of incoming raw materials and in-process production. Learn formulation development, assist with regulatory functions and research projects.

Position:

Chemist Schedule:

Monday- Friday 8:30 am to 1:30 pm, 3 days a week.

Essential Job Functions:

Prepare formulated products that range in pH and cleaning categories. Conduct QC on formulated cleaning products and raw materials. Perform testing using wet chemistry and instrumental techniques. Prepare novel formulations being investigated and various laboratory reagents. Assist with daily priority projects to support production and the business.

Knowledge:

Must be proficient in common PC functions, Word, Excel, etc. Demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills. Must be knowledgeable in laboratory wet chemistry and some instrumentation. Competent in performing basic mathematical and scientific calculations as they relate to job function. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

BS degree in Chemistry, Recent graduates welcome.

Physical Demands:

While performing duties of job, employee is occasionally required to stand (for extended periods), stoop, bend, walk and use hands to handle objects, tools and controls, reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Employee will be required to handle chemicals and solvents as required during course of job execution. Employee may be required to move or lift objects up to 10 lbs.

Work Style:

Be able to multi-task and work independently with minimal supervision. Be creative, innovative, and proactive. Work physically in the office/lab at regular hours with no option of working remotely.

$35.00 – $40.00 per hour Expected hours: 29 per week
