Chemistry Supervisor Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Chemistry Supervisor to oversee and lead our laboratory team. The ideal candidate will provide direction and supervision to chemists, lab technicians, production technicians, and temporary lab employees. They will coordinate with various departments to ensure the efficient planning, production, testing, and packaging of products. Responsibilities Provide direction and supervision to chemists, lab technicians, production technicians, and temporary lab employees. Lead training efforts for new hires in the lab. Collaborate with the Manufacturing Manager and Planning Supervisor to coordinate the planning, production, testing, and packaging of products. Manufacture finished goods and perform analysis according to appropriate specifications. Verify and maintain the ISO system, including documentation of customer complaints and corrective actions. Make necessary changes to BOM, Item Cards, SAMS, and labels. Manage lab quality, including calibration of equipment, traceability records, measurement and uncertainty tests. Perform customer service and support, including phone contact, technical support, and written documentation. Initiate suggested changes and improvements to the quality policy and procedure manuals through the immediate supervisor. Collaborate with all departments to ensure customer satisfaction through timely and accurate delivery of products. Perform all assignments in a safe and cautious manner. Engage in interdepartmental problem-solving, including instruction and assistance for the efficient operation of the lab. Participate and cooperate in all training efforts as requested by the employer. Accept and perform satisfactorily all reasonable assignments as requested by the employer. Essential Skills Proficiency in chemistry and laboratory practices. Experience with GMP, atomic absorption, titration, ICP, and pH meter operations. Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or a related science. Two years of experience in a laboratory setting as a supervisor or team lead. Work Environment The position is based in a chemical manufacturing lab with working hours from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
