Techniques:

laboratory Scale unit operations related tbiopharmaceutical manufacturing (preculture, cell culture, harvest, bioreactors, columns, mixing (up t5L)m Spectroscopy, PAT sensors, infrared and Raman spectroscopy.
Cell Culture experience, coursework in analytical chemistry, biology, physical chemistry, and statistics Emerging Technologies, Manufacturing Science and Technology (MSAT) is currently looking for a Scientist tsupport laboratory operations in a sandbox innovation laboratory tsupport pharmaceutical manufacturing.
The candidate will be responsible for conducting laboratory experiments designed tevaluate new manufacturing process technology for biopharmaceutical manufacturing.
Experiments alsinclude the use of Process Analytical Technology (PAT) sensors treplace traditional QC lab testing.
The candidate will support small scale manufacturing unit operations (i.e. bioreactors, mixing tanks, columns, etc.).
The candidate will alsbe responsible for summarizing and auditing data as part of notebook protocols in several different data systems.
The candidate will alssupport laboratory operation functions that includes overseeing equipment maintenance, calibration, laboratory safety inspections, equipment qualification and work instructions, and consumable point of use purchase orders.
Qualified candidates must have the ability twork independently and as part of a team.
Written communications in the form of reports, Excel spreadsheets, and PowerPoint presentations is required.
Good verbal and written communication skills a must.
0-5 years experience.

Responsibilities:

Setup reduced scale biotherapeutic unit operations.
Preculture from vial twavebag.
Daily offline sampling of preculture and cell culture.
Basic bioreactor operation (daily sampling, calibration of pH, DO, and PAT sensors)
Set up and tear down of bioreactors.
Setup for other unit operations (i.e. harvest filtration, downstream purification columns) as appropriate.
