REQUIREMENTS
Must have Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or Biology
Must have pharmaceutical manufacturing experience. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Liquid dosage manufacturing experience is a plus
Technical Writing experience (Batch records, reviewing, Routing sub docs)
Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
JOB SUMMARY
The primary responsibility of this position is to provide expertise in the process development, optimization and troubleshooting, batch size scale-up/down, and product transfer functions related to manufacturing operations.
JOB DUTIES
Follows all policies, procedures, SOPs, cGMPs, Work Instructions, and supervisor instructions. Provides overall support in the safe and compliant manufacture of development and commercial pharmaceutical products.
Possesses advanced understanding of knowledge areas and ability in the development of manufacturing processes of pharmaceutical products. This includes process development for new products and scale-up and technology transfers for approved commercial products.
Leads operations during engineering, exhibit, and scale up batch manufacture, engineering studies, equipment upgrades, etc. Provides technical expertise in identifying critical process parameters.
Troubleshoots process and procedural issues during the manufacturing operations. Able to independently investigate and troubleshoot the manufacturing process and identify potential process optimization and improvements and provide timely effective resolution of a technical nature.
Provides support to Packaging Engineer during investigations of deviations and variances in packaging process. As applicable, generates investigation reports and propose/implement long term corrective and preventative actions.
Generates new and revising existing master batch records (MBRs) for engineering, exhibit and commercial processes.
Assist the Regulatory Affairs group with technical input. Generates and reviews eCTD sections as applicable to manufacturing and packaging processes to support FDA filings and provide written justifications and answers to complete response letters and information requests from the agency.
Lead and provide the required support during technical process enhancements and ancillary activities such as but not limited to: process and equipment validation, installation of new equipment, changes to existing manufacturing process, etc.
Identify and suggest process, equipment and efficiency improvements in the operational area.
Prepare and present presentations for technical training of operations personnel.
Review executed batch documentation as needed.
Collaborate with cross-functional groups to achieve project goals and meet the timelines.
Work in multi-functional teams (i.e., Operations, R D, PM, Validation, QA, QC, Engineering) to enhance and facilitate overall operational success.
Possesses project management and facilitation skills and technical competence.
Able to lead effective cross-functional meetings when deemed necessary
