Overview
Under the direction of BMG Lab leadership, develops, administers, directs and implements all lab and related patient care activities, for areas of accountability. Responsibilities include but are not limited to standardization of systems, training, identification of efficiencies, integration of performance improvement strategies, processes andmunication plans which support lab goal attainment while fostering patient, physician and employee satisfaction. Acts as a technical consultant and/or CLIA Lab Director as needed for areas assigned.
Responsibilities
Acts as a technical consultant for Baptist clinics.
Works in close collaboration with the lab and clinical care team to meet and support training and regulatory needs.
Serves as a resource for lab orders and procedures as well as regulatory requirements and insurance limitations.
Implements testing and training as needed in order to meet operational requirements.
Utilizes Laboratory skills to perform and report results of clearly defined laboratory procedures assuring optimal patient oues.
Assists with the training of other employees under the direction of the Lab Services Director and lab manager.
Responsible for assigned shifts and subject to overtime and call back as required.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements, Preferences and Experience
Education

Minimum:

Bachelor Degree in medical laboratory science from a NAACLS accredited MT program
Experience

Preferred:

Leadership experience; Experience in a clinic setting

Minimum:

2 years lab experience in hematology and chemistry
Licensure, Registration, Certification

Minimum:

National registration or certification in concordance with current Federal and/or State Regulations. Licensure per state regulations.
