Research Coordinator I – Peds

out of 5 stars Jacksonville, FL 32246 Actively recruits and screens eligible patients for research protocols. Assists and conducts Informed Consent process. Completes Informed Consent quality assurance assignments as needed. Coordinates and implements enrollment and follow-up procedures to collect data from patient charts, medical records, interviews, questionnaires, and other sources. Cross-trains as backup on other studies as assigned. Assists with study finances including sponsor invoicing and resolving study subject billing. Ensures the safety of research and laboratory. Supports the safety of clinical research procedures, study visits, and follow up care. Reports adverse events. Completes and submits Case Report Forms (CRFs) and pertinent study-related forms accurately and within specified time limits and addresses queries. Responsible for assisting in the interpretation and implementation of policies and procedures as they apply to assigned areas of responsibility. May recommend changes on policy/procedures as necessary. Coordinates special studies or projects as directed. Maintains contact with study patients to facilitate study retention and their care, including communication regarding study requirements, coordinating drug dispensing with Research Pharmacist, and other procedures, treatment, etc. In-services

staff and other participating staff on research protocols and topics. Understands regulatory process and adheres to IRB and FDA requirements, ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies, and good clinical practices. Attends pertinent educational or study activities to include some out of town meeting and reviews current literature relevant to clinical area.
Expected Salary:
$45,000 to $51,000 annually depending on education and experience.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with 1 year of research experience or Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience. Clinical Research Certification or acquired within 2 years of hire. Two years prior experience with clinical trials, including
HIV/AIDS.
