out of 5 stars 12902 Usf Magnolia Drive, Tampa, FL 33612 The Department of Diagnostic Imaging & Interventional Radiology at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida invites applications for a full-time faculty appointment at the level of Assistant or Associate Member in the Division of Breast Imaging. The candidate must have expertise in multi-modality breast imaging and image guided breast biopsies. The Division of Breast Imaging at Moffitt Cancer Center performs high resolution digital breast tomosynthesis with synthesized mammography, tomosynthesis-guided percutaneous biopsy equipment, and 1.5 T MRI systems with MRI-guided biopsy capability. The section participates in multi-institutional clinical trials and research. The breast imaging division currently consists of sub-specialized breast radiologists and a fellowship program supporting multiple fellows per year. University of South Florida residents rotate through the division on a monthly basis. Moffitt’s Department of Diagnostic Imaging & Interventional Radiology currently includes 55 clinical faculty members. A large number of research and teaching opportunities are available. All investigator-initiated clinical trials at Moffitt include a radiologist as co-investigator. The Imaging Research program receives about $7 million per year in NIH funding and includes 1400 sq. ft. of wet lab space, a full animal imaging suite, and sophisticated image analytic and mathematical modeling capabilities. Dedicated academic time is provided and PhD-level scientists are employed by the department to assist the clinical faculty in their research efforts.

Requirements:

Successful candidates must have an M.D. degree or equivalent, a Florida medical license or be eligible for one, and be board certified/eligible in Radiology. Fellowship training in breast imaging is strongly preferred. Prefer experience in a multi-disciplinary academic clinical practice setting.
