The lab coordinator will manage lab supplies, maintain equipment, create and enforce lab protocols while coordinating research projects and schedules. Additionally, the lab coordinator will support researchers by assisting with data collection, analysis, and documentation to ensure compliance with institutional and regulatory guidelines. Required Qualifications Some experience working within a research lab or an office or other location where duties included office management or program coordination. Preferred Qualifications Preferred Education/Experience High school degree plus at least one year of relevant experience. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to develop and maintain relationships with a variety of communities. Strong organizational skills to manage research studies, track participant data, and coordinate lab activities. Interest in learning how non-medical factors impact brain health and cognitive aging. Ability to engage older adults from various backgrounds in community engagement events focused on providing brain health resources and information to community members. Work effectively with researchers, clinicians, and community partners to achieve study goals. Communicate research findings to the public through presentations, workshops, and outreach programs. Maintain study databases, oversee data quality control, and manage lab equipment. Ability to create study protocols. Excellent time management skills to manage projects and daily workload. Physical Demands Essential Duties/Responsibilities Essential Duties/Responsiblities Assist with development and submission of IRB protocols and amendments Ensure compliance with HIPAA, consent procedures, and human-subject regulations Coordinate lab setup logistics, including equipment ordering and space organization Create and manage startup timelines, task lists, and vendor communications Track lab inventory, purchasing, and operational expenses Support setup and maintenance of data collection tools Organize secure data storage and implement data coding procedures Serve as point of contact for PI, lab staff, collaborators, and university offices Draft community engagement and recruitment materials, consent forms, and participant communication Train and onboard research assistants and new lab members Develop and implement community engagement and recruitment strategies Screen participants, manage scheduling, and ensure quality experience throughout study visits Maintain participant databases and follow-up tracking systems Help develop educational materials, presentations, and community workshops to disseminate research findings and promote brain health awareness.
