Job Overview:
The Oncology Research Department at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center is looking to add a qualified individual for their open Research Coordinator position.
Qualifications:
Required:
BLS (Basic Life Support) Health Care Provider Certification or acquisition within 90 days of hire and maintenance of certification required. Successful completion of all orientation programs required.
Preferred:
Regulatory or Clinical Trials Experience Preferred EPIC experience preferred.
Scheduling Requirements:
Per Diem schedule and hours based on business needs of department.
Essential Functions:
Organizes the management of ongoing clinical trials, providing patient education regarding enrollment in clinical trials. Works with physicians todetermine eligibility of patients for clinical trials. Assists with ongoing assessment of patients who are on trial during treatment and in follow-up. Maintains data collection and reporting for patients on clinical trials. Coordinates appointments and collaborates with clinical and medical staff inassuring that protocol is followed and adhered to
