Clinical Research Coordinator I Job Description The Clinical Research Coordinator I is responsible for coordinating the initiation and activation of all new clinical trial protocols. You will develop study tools using Oncore®/Excel®/Word, review patient charts and medical history to confirm protocol eligibility, and ensure informed consent forms are properly handled. This role requires maintaining research records and collaborating with the Research Nurse Clinician and physician to assist in grading adverse events. Responsibilities Coordinate the initiation and activation of new clinical trial protocols. Prepare study tools including study binders, medication diaries, eligibility checklists, and flow sheets. Develop study tools using Oncore®, Excel®, and Word. Review patient charts and medical history to confirm protocol eligibility and obtain necessary source documents. Ensure IRB-approved informed consent forms are obtained, signed, and placed in medical records. Maintain research records for patients enrolled in studies. Assist in grading adverse events using National Cancer Institute common toxicity criteria or protocol-specific grading scales. Complete Serious/Unexpected Adverse Event forms as required. Provide regular reports to tumor study group members and Principal Investigator. Serve as liaison with study sponsors, schedule monitoring visits, and respond to sponsors’ queries. Essential Skills Clinical research experience (2+ years required). Data management expertise, with a robust background in coordination. Oncology experience (2+ years required). Experience working in multiple EDC systems, particularly Medidata and Inform. Experience recruiting, screening, and consenting patients for clinical trials. Blood processing experience. Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree. Experience in data collection and data entry. Oncology experience, including gynecological oncology. Work Environment The position is on-site in the Bronx four times per week.
