Clinical Research Activities:
Review protocols, interface with research teams and develops appropriate source documents, including MD orders and research worksheets. Develops clinical resources for the implementation of clinical research activities. Responsible for coordinating activities administered by the research program or service area and in the development and implementation of procedures for the Clinical Research program/service area. Acts as liaison between Research teams and CRC staff. Oversees participant scheduling and visit approvals. Supervise research support staff engaged in the carrying out of research and clinical protocol: Provides direct supervision of registered Nurses, Laboratory technicians, Dietary staff and research support staff engaged in clinical and research activities. Responsible for conducting annual performance appraisals for CRC UF staff. Conducts annual skills evaluations for all staff. Addressees practice variances, monitors trends and develops action plan. Conducts procedural audits such as conscious sedation and the like in compliance with regulatory requirement. Responsible for the interpretation and implementation of policies and procedures: Develops and maintains SOPs for the Clinical Research Center. Conducts training and in-services for research procedures and protocols prior to implementation. Conducts continuous process improvement evaluation. Maintains compliance with all regulations relating to the State of Florida Office Surgery Registration. Manages resources of the Clinical Research Center to accomplish goals: Maintain compliance with research certification of all equipment. Responsible for budgeting and acquisition for all new equipment. Directs the maintenance of all CRC equipment. Oversee the logistics of supplies, including specialized research equipment, medical supplies, linen and perishables
Expected Salary:
$90,000 – $105,000
Required Qualifications:
Master’s degree in appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor’s degree in appropriate areas of specialization and two years of experience.
Preferred:
Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and six years of appropriate experience; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and eight years of appropriate experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid FL RN license 10 years of clinical research experience. ACLS certification. Knowledge of nursing principles, practices and techniques. Knowledge of basic principles and good clinical practice of clinical research. Experience coordinating clinical research studies. Skill in the use of nursing equipment and instruments. Ability to collect, collate, analyze and evaluate data from clinical research studies. Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments. Ability to work effectively and independently.
