The Project Manager oversees various projects within the organization and is responsible for initiating, defining, planning, documenting, coordinating and implementing the execution of all activities within the lifecycle of a project. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

- Oversees various projects within the organization and initiates, defines, plans, documents, coordinates and implements the execution of all activities within the lifecycle of a project. Directs, facilitates and supervises all project team activities to ensure project deliverables are produced in accordance with the defined project objectives.
- Works to identify, assess, manage and minimize risks to successful project completion, notifying appropriate stakeholders when issues arise and taking appropriate corrective action.
- Provides supervision of equipment transport team (Nursing) and/or other team(s) as defined by department leadership.
- Assists in the research, development and implementation of new plans and policies that will aid in quality improvement and control and/or increase patient safety and satisfaction, and works directly with leadership, cross-functional team members and/or outside vendors to facilitate the introduction of new technologies through trials and/or procurements.
- Assists in the preparation and management of operational budgets and equipment replacement plans.
- Develops and maintains positive relationships with all stakeholders, cross-functional team members, and vendors. Serves as a general resource and liaison for department administration, FH Leadership, cross-functional team members and outside vendors. Performs regular and consistent follow up on all tasks to ensure completion and satisfaction.
- Participates in and coordinates other special projects as assigned by leadership and participates in multidisciplinary task force planning groups and equipment meetings as requested.
- Adheres to the Florida Hospital Corporate Plan and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state and federal agencies and accrediting bodies.
Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
:
- Ability to leverage and work effectively with people at all levels representing various fields of expertise, providing direction and assigning accountability to project team members possessing diverse styles, skills and abilities.
- Advanced project management skills with the ability to plan and oversee several projects simultaneously, adhering to budgetary and scheduling constraints.
- Excellent decision-making, problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Deadline and detail-oriented with commitment to produce deliverables throughout the project lifecycle within defined time constraints.
- Flexible and the able to quickly adapt to ever-changing project needs while remaining aligned with department administration’s direction and objectives.
- Strong leadership, supervisory, team-building, and customer service skills.
- Thorough understanding and application of budgetary and financial principles and procurement processes.
- Initiative and skill in identifying opportunities for quality and/or process improvement and works to achieve improvements.
- Ability to make appropriate independent judgments.
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read and understand standard business documents (ie. Quotes, scopes of service, etc.)
- Computer and software proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS PREFERRED
:
Knowledge of gathering and analyzing data sets, preparing and presenting reports that effectively communicate findings to various audiences and stakeholders.
Knowledge of hospital organization and a commitment to patient-oriented service and professional growth.
Ability to assess, identify and mitigate project risks.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
:
- Associate’s degree in Management, or in business-related field, such as Accounting or Finance, or in a health-related field, such as, Healthcare Administration or Nursing, OR
- 2 years of equivalent business and/or project management experience.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED
:
2 years of budget preparation/management and procurement experience
1 year of hospital or other clinical experience
