Job Description

Clinical Research Nurse Manager 3.4 3.4 out of 5 stars 720 Westview Drive SW, Atlanta, GA 30310 The Clinical Research Coordinator Core Manager reports to the Director, Clinical Trials Office and Research Operations and Principal Investigator(s). This role requires a Registered Nurse (RN) license and previous clinical research experience. The position mentors and trains coordinators, ensuring adherence to research protocols and regulations, and providing general research education to staff. This role may also manage a small portfolio of studies.

Minimum Qualifications Experience:

Registered Nurse (RN) with a current and active license. Bachelor’s degree in nursing Minimum of three (3) years of experience in clinical research, including experience with study coordination and regulatory compliance. Preferred Qualifications Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC) or equivalent certification is highly desirable. Job Duties Description of Job Duty Oversee and manage a team of clinical research coordinators, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations. Ensure coordinators are effectively assigned to studies and that workload distribution aligns with organizational goals. Act as a resource for coordinators to troubleshoot challenges and provide solutions for study-related issues. Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive training programs for new and existing coordinators. Provide ongoing education on research best practices, regulatory requirements, and protocol adherence. Ensure compliance with institutional policies, sponsor requirements, and federal regulations governing clinical research. Collaborate with investigators, sponsors, and regulatory teams to ensure proper protocol execution. Monitor study activities to ensure milestones are achieved and identify areas for improvement. Oversee quality assurance activities, including audits and monitoring visits. Assist with the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of clinical research staff. Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to clinical research coordination and training. Prepare and present regular reports on team performance and research activities. Serve as a liaison between the clinical research office and other departments to streamline operations and communication.
