Overview Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Environmental Specialist to join our team at the Tuskegee VA Canteen . This is a part-time opportunity perfect for someone who takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for veterans and staff.
Responsibilities:
Perform daily cleaning and sanitizing of the Canteen area including tables, counters, floors, and appliances Empty trash and ensure proper disposal Dust, mop, vacuum, and wipe down all surfaces as needed Maintain restroom cleanliness according to VA facility standards Follow all safety, health, and infection control procedures Communicate any maintenance or supply needs to the supervisor Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor while on site
Schedule:
Monday-Friday Start time: After 2:00 PM (after Canteen closes) till 4pm Approximate shift: 1.5 to 2 hours per day
Requirements:
Reliable transportation to the Tuskegee VA Facility Strong attention to detail Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Previous janitorial, housekeeping, or environmental services experience preferred Ability to pass a background check (required for working at VA facilities)
