Onsite System One is currently seeking an Environmental Specialiston a 5 month contract position located in Calera, AL.

EnvironmentalSpecialist Responsibilities:

Monitor and ensure compliance withfederal, state, and local environmental regulations, including airquality, water quality, waste management, and hazardous materialshandling. Conduct environmental audits and assessments to identifycompliance gaps and recommend corrective actions. Stay updated onevolving environmental regulations and proactively implementnecessary changes.

Environmental Specialist Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, EnvironmentalEngineering, or a related field preferred. Working knowledge offederal, state, and local environmental regulations and permittingprocesses. Project management skills with the ability toparticipate in a team setting on multiple projects simultaneously.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-makingabilities. Effective communication and interpersonal skills toengage with stakeholders. Proficiency in environmental managementsoftware and data analysis tools. Professional certifications(e.g., Certified Environmental Professional, Certified HazardousMaterials Manager) are a plus. Physical ability to climb stairs.

Physical ability to pull up 50 pounds of equipment up to heightusing ropes. Must be able to work at heights up to and exceeding100 feet from grade. Competent with Microsoft Outlook, Word, andExcel software. Must be able to use tools to fabricate simplemechanical systems. Must be able to pull and back a trailer. Mustbe able to work in hot work areas.
