Environmental Scientist Job Description We are seeking an Environmental Scientist/Field Technician to support a Dynamic Compaction project in Miami. This project involves converting a 95-acre property, including a large hurricane debris landfill, into an industrial park. The construction technique used, Dynamic Compaction, increases the density of soil/waste deposits by dropping a heavy weight at regular intervals to improve the geotechnical characteristics, making the area suitable for redevelopment. The Environmental Scientist/Field Technician will observe the dynamic compaction crane, take measurements, document findings, and write reports. Responsibilities Observe the dynamic compaction crane operations. Take precise measurements and document findings. Prepare detailed reports based on observations and data collected. Assist in sampling groundwater, soil, and well installations. Participate in vapor extraction and environmental remediation processes. Comply with

standards and protocols. Essential Skills Entry-level experience in environmental science. Proficiency in groundwater and soil sampling. Familiarity with well installation and vapor extraction techniques. Experience in environmental lab settings. Knowledge of environmental remediation processes.

certification. Additional Skills & Qualifications Associates degree in environmental science, engineering, or construction field is a plus. Ability to work independently and report administratively to a supervisor. Must have a truck or SUV to access the job site. Work Environment This position requires working in outdoor conditions. The role involves independently observing work on-site, either from inside or outside a vehicle, based on personal preference. Reliable transportation is essential to reach the job site daily.
