What you get to do:

As a Senior Environmental Specialist — you will

• Directly report to the Safety and Environment Supervisor.
• Complete regulatory inspections of the hazardous waste facility, collection sites, UST/AST, oil/grease containers, generators and any other potential pollution source Complete regulatory monthly sampling and reporting
• Collect environmental data and enter into excel or other computer software
• Conduct park environmental training
• Assist with the development of EHS projects.
• Participate in EHS inspections throughout the park to ensure that all departments are in compliance with company, local, state and federal environmental regulations. Develop corrective action plans and ensures completion
• Attend department meetings and general EHS sensitive meetings Assist with any environmental clean up
• Participate in Safety Duty Officer program on a rotational basis
• Provide exceptional, professional guest service in a team environment.
• Communicate professionally and effectively with Ambassadors, Vendors and our Guests.

  What it takes to succeed:
• High School Diploma
• 2 years of Environmental experience or education preferred
• 2 years of experience in EHS or a related field preferred
• Knowledge of local, state and federal regulations preferred
• Training in hazardous waste management, accumulation and transportation preferred
• Ability to troubleshoot, or maintain/repair scientific equipment preferred
• Theme Park experience preferred
• Possession of a valid state driver’s license preferred
• Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s License
• Certified in RCRA, HazWoper, & UST/AST preferred
• Ability to maintain a valid DOT physical card Ability to meet company driving guidelines Ability to communicate effectively.

What else is important:

• Must be able to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 50 lbs.
• Position engages in extensive walking and standing throughout entire work shift and climb/ascend heights, if needed
• Perform the following physical activities: kneeling, squatting, bend floor-to waist/waist-tooverhead, reach overhead, simple grasp and fine hand manipulation tasks (use of tools/keyboard/writing)
• Must be able to work indoors and outdoors, in varying weather, to include extreme heat.
• Position may be exposed to fumes, dust, odors, and cold/heat temperature extremes Perform cleaning duties, including use of cleaning chemicals
• Work a flexible schedule/hour based on business need, to include opening, mid-, and closing shifts, nights, weekends
