The primary responsibility of this position is to support the Managers and the Environmental Representatives of the Environmental Affairs Division in various environmental regulatory permitting and compliance activities. These activities include administrative support as well as maintenance of databases, preparation of reports, field visits, data tracking and review and filing of inspections. The position will support all environmental regulatory programs, including waste, air, SPCC, tanks, grease traps, swimming pools, wildlife, refrigerants, etc. Working with various regulatory agencies including ACOE, DOH, EPA, FDEP, FWC, FWS, and CFTOD is a function of this role. The responsibilities of the Environmental Coordinator are 25% secretarial and 75% technical as further described below. What You Will Do Provide clerical support to departments and assist with various duties including phone coverage; calendar and meeting coordination; filing; preparing letters, presentations, and training documents; travel arrangements; expense reports; paying invoices and ordering supplies through Coupa. Work with all departments in the Environmental Affairs Division to collect and analyze program data and help generate reports to stakeholders and agencies related to the compliance of various environmental permits and laws. Develop and maintain Smartsheet application integrity, including forms, reports, dashboards and work apps for various regulatory programs. Assist in the preparation of FDEP potable water and sanitary sewer permit applications and clearance requests. Prepare paperwork in preparation for regulatory inspections. Review inspection reports, identify key issues, and provide improvement recommendations to partners. Conduct field visits as necessary. Interact and maintain relationships with various permit applicants, internal and external to Walt Disney World, as well as permitting agencies. Required Qualifications & Skills At least 1 year of environmental compliance, regulatory, and/or related experience or course work. Ability to read and understand regulatory laws and rules, technical documents and drawings. Self-motivator with strong follow-through skills. Proficient at large volume data tracking, manipulation and organization via Smartsheet, Excel and Access. Ability to handle confidential information. Proven computer proficiency with Microsoft Office. Preferred Qualifications & Skills Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Proficiency with Microsoft Access, Excel, SharePoint and Smartsheet. Required Education Associate of Science degree in science, technology, engineering or mathematics. Preferred Education Bachelor of Science degree in science, technology, engineering or mathematics.
