Environmental Scientist Job Description We are currently seeking an experienced Environmental Professional to join our team in Bartow. The successful candidate will manage junior scientists and technicians, communicate with clients, perform field work, and write reports in support of a variety of Emergency Response, Remediation, and environmental due diligence projects. Responsibilities Project, client, and people management Prepare reports based on field notes, interpretation of laboratory reports, and other data, including source removal and site assessment Oversee work of subcontractors including construction and water well contractors, laboratories, and others Perform environmental site investigation and remediation work, including soil and groundwater sampling, vapor intrusion investigation, remedial investigation, design, implementation, and monitoring Maintain test equipment and work area in clean working order, including modifying and calibrating equipment Maintain and troubleshoot mechanical remediation systems and monitoring systems Conduct environmental sampling and document field activities in field notebooks and field graphics, including groundwater sampling logs, well completion logs, and soil logs Essential Skills Environmental sampling Site assessment Environmental Science Hazwoper Remediation Geology Groundwater Osha 40 Environmental remediation Report writing Hazardous waste Hazardous material Soil sampling Water sampling Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or Geology Minimum of 5 years of relevant environmental experience Ability to work independently and lead others Valid Florida Driver’s License OSHA 40-hour

We have a large Emergency Response division, and our environmental scientists work on call for ERs one week per month. Most field work involves daily travel, but there will be projects periodically throughout Florida that require overnight stays.
