An Environmental Laboratory Analyst is responsible for testing of environmental samples to determine the presence of pollutants and other contaminants. They analyze them samples specialized equipment and techniques. They play a critical role in ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Sample Analysis:
Analyze samples, including process water samples, coal, fuel oil and compliance water samples.
Environmental Documentation:
Maintain accurate records, permits, and documentation required for environmental compliance and reporting.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in
Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Environmental Sciences Experience:
Several years of experience performing laboratory analysis; EPA methods or environmental analysis a plus.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in laboratory testing equipment and safe lab practices.
Communication:
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey technical information and compliance requirements.
Problem-Solving:
Strong problem-solving abilities to address complex challenges and recommend innovative solutions. Attention to
